This week we were able to visit the Everglades Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs, FL. Now from the road it does not look like much, but this place holds just enough for a few hours of entertainment with the munchkins.
We love places that allow for our kids to interact with the animals! What is great about this place, is that so many animals are allowed to free-range. The kids were able to feed the flamingoes and turkeys. The ducks come right up to you for food as well and the peacocks let you get just close enough. This peacock shown below immediately flared up its feathers when the kids got close. ?
This location also has turtles, iguanas, alligators, tortoises, snakes, exotic birds and more!
There are more exhibits to come since they are still re-building from recent hurricane damage. However, this is definitely a hidden gem located right in the heart of Bonita Springs. So if you’re in the area and looking for an educational but fun afternoon, I would check this out!
